Sixteen year old Hubert Laskowski will compete in the European Rally Championship!

Hubert Laskowski, who is becoming more confident on special stages around Europe, just finished the most difficult start of his career. The sixteen year old driver made his debut in the European Rally Championship and won in his class!
Rally Liepaja (01-03.07.2022) was this year’s fifth round of the Old Continent’s championship. The starting line-up features the best European drivers, including also Hubert. The sixteen year old was again driving a Ford Fiesta Rally3 and faced the leader and second best driver in the ERC3 season’s classification.
Hubert and his co-driver, Michał Kuśnierz, demonstrated from the start that more experienced drivers must treat him with respect. Despite a lower starting position, the Ford Fiesta Rally3 was second in its class after day one. Hubert and Michał only trailed by 9.7 seconds. Day one was also a Latvia Championship round. Hubert won in his class in the round and finished seventh in the overall classification.
“Rally Liepaja was a very demanding event. The organisers prepared very fast and difficult stages. They featured many crossings of peaks, a lot of ramps and many very fast sections. The competition was slightly more difficult on day one. We were last and had very different conditions than our main rivals”, Hubert explained.
On day two, the better starting position secured during stage one allowed Hubert to show his talent in all its glory. The sixteen year old was fastest in five out of six sections. He was faster than his main rival by nearly three and a half minutes!
“On day two, we were driving in the same conditions as the best drivers in our class. We were fastest in five out of six special stages. We didn’t take many risks and I am very pleased with our pace. Along with Michał, we prepared very good notes which were crucial for us to drive this fast”, Hubert added.
“The Car Speed Racing crew prepared the car perfectly, as usual. It worked wonderfully, also thanks to the parts delivered by the Polish branch of M-Sport. I would like to thank everybody for this start. We wouldn’t do it without you!”, he ended.
The partners of the young driver include Marten, Pirelli, Intertrade Logistics Limited, Jubi-Tom Jubiler Kobierzyce and Atech Racing Polska. The Car Speed Racing is responsible for the car’s servicing.
