FIA ERC – Rally Sierra Morena 2025
9 April 2025
After his success in winning the 2024 Polish Championship in class 4, Hubert Laskowski is preparing to compete on the difficult routes of continental Spain, where the Sierra Morena Rally will start in just one week.
This will be the debut of the talented and still young driver in the ERC, who will represent Auto Moto Klub Kłodzko from this year.
For Laskowski, it will be the first start with a Polish licence and with a new co-driver, Esther Guttierez. Guttierez, who comes from Andalusia, was a participant in the FIA Rally Star programme and honed her skills under the guidance of such legends as Robert Reid, Nicolas Klinger, Chris Patterson, Pernilla Solberg and Miikka Anttila.
Hubert, despite his young age, has won numerous championship titles behind the wheel of Rally3 and Rally4 cars.
In 2020, he became the youngest driver in rally history to be admitted to the national championships of Latvia and Lithuania, where he won the vice-championship titles in class 4 and Junior just one year later.
In 2022, he became Latvian Champion in the LRC3 class and Estonian Champion in the EMV3 class. In this memorable season, Hubert also achieved his first overall victory. He did this by winning the Quattro River Rally Karlovac, in which he competed alongside Kajetan Kajetanowicz, among others.
The 2024 season was extremely busy for the talented Pole. At the wheel of a Ford Fiesta Rally4, Hubert competed in the entire RSMP series and was unrivalled in class 4, confidently winning the Polish championship title.
In addition to the national rounds, he also competed in three WRC rallies. His debut took place in the Rally Finland. On fast and bumpy gravel tracks, Hubert did very well, recording times in the group of the best WRC3 drivers.
In Greece and the Central European Rally, he also joined the fight for the highest possible positions in the Junior WRC top ten.
Now, however, Hubert is focusing on the upcoming challenge.
I would like to thank all the sponsors who have made it possible for Esther and I to take part in the first round of the FIA ERC – Rally Sierra Morena. But even more so, I would like to thank the silent ‘angels’ who helped us find and convince companies and individuals to support us at such short notice, said Laskowski.
In the upcoming rally, we will be competing in a Peugeot 208 Rally4 with the Car Speed Racing team. Now we are focusing only on the rally, but we are planning further starts and looking for a budget, he added.
The Sierra Morena Rally will take place from 4-6 April. All special stages of the ERC rallies will be broadcast live on Rally.tv.
