FIA ERC – Rally di Roma Capitale 2025
16 July 2025The upcoming Rally di Roma Capitale (4–6 July), round five of the 2025 FIA European Rally Championship, brings a surprise but highly significant change in the ERC3 field. Hubert Laskowski, 19-year-old Polish Rally4 Champion from 2024, will drive a Ford Fiesta Rally3 in the colours of PGS Rally Team, taking over the entry originally assigned to Igor Widłak.
The decision to hand over the seat to a younger driver is a rare gesture in professional motorsport — and a clear show of support for talented competitors aiming to make their mark on the international stage. Widłak, who had originally planned to compete in Rome, stepped aside and offered Laskowski the opportunity to return to the European Championship — this time behind the wheel of a Rally3 car.
Laskowski will be co-driven by Daniel Dymurski, Widłak’s regular navigator and one of Poland’s most experienced rally co-drivers, with extensive appearances across international events. His presence brings stability and valuable insight to a young driver entering a new level of competition.
— “It was a complete surprise and a huge opportunity. I’m very grateful to Igor and the team for the trust. I’ll do my best to drive cleanly and effectively — and to make this weekend count,” Laskowski commented.

Competing in ERC3, which is open exclusively to Rally3 (RC3) cars, means direct competition on equal, four-wheel-drive machinery. In the 2025 season, the category has grown in both depth and exposure, providing a critical step in the development path toward Rally2 and beyond.
Laskowski and Dymurski will face 12 other crews entered in the ERC3 category — including competitors from Ireland, Sweden, France, Taiwan, and Poland. It’s a strong and diverse field, promising intense competition from the very first kilometres of the special stages.
The car, a proven Fiesta Rally3 previously campaigned by Widłak, will be prepared by Vacat Motorsport, with the same technical and service structure supporting Laskowski throughout the event. Only the driver changes — but with him, comes a new objective: to make the most of the opportunity.
Rally di Roma Capitale, with its spectacular ceremonial start near the Colosseum and technical asphalt stages in the Lazio region, will mark Laskowski’s first official Rally3 outing of the 2025 season. And it will serve as a test of the one quality that has consistently defined his driving: effectiveness.
